Description
This is a stunning 3-stone heavy sterling silver cuff bracelet with solid 18k gold settings and decorative items fused to the cuff. The center stone is a huge piece of Parrot Wing gem silica from Mexico. It is predominantly ocean blue with a few sprays of green in it. If you’re wondering about the small brown patch in this stone, this is the host rock around which this material forms and it contains the copper that gave the silica this beautiful color. It is hard to cut this material without including a little bit of the host rock. The mine from where this stone came hasn’t produced in years. I’ve managed to find small amounts from time to time that have been hoarded by collectors or dealers. I could not reproduce this piece because I couldn’t find another piece of gem silica this size/color.
The triangular green stones on either side are chrysoprase from Australia. They are perfectly matched stones with a medium green color that are typical of chrysoprase.
The outside of the cuff has an oxidized (black) finish and the inside is polished silver. The bracelet is approx. 1 7/16″ wide and more than 2mm thick. It is a substantial piece with a heavy, rich feel weighing over 147 grams including more than 12.5 grams of 18k gold.

Size and Other Considerations: This is a 7 1/2 ” cuff with a 1 3/8″ gap (7 1/2″ overall inside circumference). For women this would be considered a large bracelet but this style of bracelet could also be worn by men. Buyers should see Sizing for information on how to measure your wrist for cuff bracelets such as this.
Care of This Piece: The outside of the cuff has an oxidized finish on it. Care should be taken when cleaning it not to use chemicals including polishing cloths that are impregnated with chemical cleaner as it will remove this oxidized finish.
