Description
This is a beautiful 3-stone 18k solid gold ring. The design is based on ancient Etruscan ring designs. The Etruscans pre-dated the Romans in what is now southern Italy. I like this design because it has a lot of intricate granulation and twisted wire details. It is a medium-weight ring with just over 8 grams of 18k gold.
The center stone is a medium-dark green tsavorite from Tanzania. Tsavorite is a rare form of garnet that is known for its unique shades of green and has become quite expensive in recent years (see link below for more information). This piece has medium-dark green color but is bright and saturated. It does have a few inclusions (veils) beneath the surface that are eye-visible.
The accent stones are yellow chrysoberyl which is in the beryl family of gemstones that include emerald and aquamarine. These stones are clean and clear with light yellow color.
The ring at its widest point is approx. 5/8” wide (at the front) and the band tapers to approx. 3/8” at the back. This is considered a wide-band ring so you might consider sizing based on rings you wear that are comparable.
