Description
This is a beautiful wide-band 22k solid gold ring. The design is based on ancient Etruscan ring designs. The Etruscans pre-dated the Romans in what is now southern Italy. I like this design because it has a lot of intricate granulation especially on the band. This is a really substantial piece with more than 11.5 grams of 22k gold.
The sapphire is from the Winza mine in Tanzania and is completely natural (unheated). It has deep purple color with a hint of red that is almost a cranberry hue. It has a few imperfections beneath the surface which is common for natural sapphires.
The ring at its widest point is approx. 3/4” wide (at the front) and the band is approx. 3/8” at the back. This is considered a wide-band ring so you might consider sizing based on rings you wear that are comparable.
