Description
This is a beautiful wide-band 18k solid gold ring. The design is based on ancient Etruscan ring designs. The Etruscans pre-dated the Romans in what is now southern Italy. I like this design because it has a lot of intricate granulation and decorative wire details.
The gemstone is a spinel that comes from the Mahenge mine in Tanzania. It has a gorgeous pink-peach hue that I’ve only seen come out of this mine. It is bright and colorful but there is one significant imperfection (veil) beneath the surface.
The ring at its widest point is approx. 9/16” wide (at the front – top to bottom) and the band tapers to approx. 3/8” at the back. This is considered a wide-band ring so you might consider sizing based on rings you wear that are comparable.
