This is a beautiful 3-stone and solid 18k necklace including chain. The center stone is a medium pink sapphire from the Winza mine in Tanzania. It has a few inclusions (veils) but fairly good clarity. The two smaller stones are perfectly matched Mexican fire opals. All are pear-shaped high-domed cabochons.
The v-bar, to which the gemstones and their settings attach, is approximately 2″ wide and about 3/4″ tall. It has a hammered finish on the front side and the stone settings hang approx. 1/2″ below the v-bar. The settings and their attachment rings have lots of delicate details. The chain, which is included, is 16 3/4″ long (including the v-bar) and there are extra rings on the non-clasp end that allow it to be extended by an additional 1/2″ (see photos above). There are more than 9 grams of 18k gold in this necklace.
