Description
These elegant earrings are made with perfectly matched blue opal from Peru. This material was mined more than 30 years ago from a small short-lived find in the Andean foothills. Most of the material that came out of these mines is opaque and at best translucent with inclusions of other minerals making it unusable for high quality jewelry. These gemstones are the highest quality (facet grade) with a light Caribbean Ocean blue color making them very rare.
The pair is constructed from solid 18k gold and have a neat twisted wire design that surrounds the bezel. Each earring is a little over 3/8” in diameter. From the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the setting the earrings are 7/8″ long.
