Description
This is a beautiful 3-stone 18k solid gold ring. The design is based on ancient Etruscan ring designs. The Etruscans pre-dated the Romans in what is now southern Italy. I like this design because it has a lot of intricate granulation and twisted wire details.
The center stone is a dark red-orange Mexican Fire Opal cut in a large faceted oval. It is clean, clear and bright and there are no visible imperfections or inclusions.
The accent stones are violet-pink spinel from the Mahenge mine in Tanzania. This material was selected because its color goes quite well with the fire opal. These stones are not perfect and have a few visible inclusions.
The ring at its widest point is approx. 11/16” wide (at the front) and the band tapers to approx. 3/8” at the back. This is considered a wide-band ring so you might consider sizing based on rings you wear that are comparable.
