Description
This is a mixed metal ring with an 18k gold setting and decorative items with a solid Sterling silver band. The gemstone is a beautiful Golden Beryl, also known as Heliodor, with sunrise yellow color. Heliodor is in the beryl family which includes emeralds, aquamarine and a few other gemstones. It is very hard, durable and has wonderful yellow color.
The design of the ring includes a single row of gold balls around the setting that is bookended by a triplet of gold balls on either side. The band has a hammered finish but is smooth and comfortable to wear.
The ring at its widest point is just under 7/16” wide (at the front – measured top to bottom) and the band is approx. 1/4” wide at the back (see photos with older U.S. silver dime for size/scale).
I don’t have a detailed description of Heliodor but you can learn more about a similar colored gemstone Mali Garnet at this link.
