Description
This is a beautiful chrome tourmaline and 22k solid gold pendant. The gemstone is deep green and is clear and bright and has no flaws or inclusions.
Chrome tourmaline is a rare form of tourmaline that is colored green by chromium. This material comes Africa, most likely Tanzania, and is comparable with Tsavorite in terms of color but I’ve been able to source it more affordably. By comparison, a clean 1.8 ct tsavorite will easily sell for over $1,000. The stone has been faceted by hand but is uniform and well cut.
The gold work is simple yet elegant with a single row of tiny gold balls around the bezel. The bale has some extra detail with a row of gold balls around its circumference. It is a small-sized pendant that is just under 3/8” wide and about 11/16” tall (including the attachment bale).
