Description
This is an 18k solid gold ring with a medium-pink natural sapphire. The piece is based on Balinese designs with two rows of intricately placed gold balls around the setting. The band has a row of gold balls around the circumference framed by two rows of extremely fine twisted wire.
The sapphire in this ring has saturated medium-pink color and is cut in a pear shape. This material comes from the Winza mine in Tanzania and is completely natural (un-heated). There are a few inclusions in this stone but it still looks glassy and bright.
The ring at its widest point is approx. 1/2” wide (at the front) and the band is a little over 1/4” wide at the back (see photo with older U.S. dime for size/scale).
